Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend and cover the 4th Annual Source360 Festival and Conference and was excited to see what new heights the series would take for this year’s lineup. Over the course of four days, the festival would cover everything from music, to fashion and Hip Hop culture, to a series of panel discussions and art exhibits.
Now, I’ve covered the Source360 events before in the past but this time would be a little different for me. This year, I am officially a Brooklyn resident which means that now, instead of just attending, I get a chance to personally see the positive impact that the festival has on the community- Our Community.
Saturday’s State of Hip Hop panel discussion was among one of my favorites. The panel featured entertainment influencers Charlamagne Tha God, Deb Antey, Roxanne Shante & Lord Jamar who shared their raw and un-cut insights on various topics surrounding the ever changing state of Hip Hop, finding your passion, and redefining success.
