This past Thursday marked the official kick-start of my Fall 2017 NYFW experience and for my first stop, I was invited to attend Style Fashion Week’s exclusive runway show. World class designers from Gregorio Sanchez, to Meriem Belkhayat, and Peyman Umay gathered at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in NYC to unveil their highly anticipated season collections. I was really blown away at a lot of the pieces presented during this year’s runway show, many of which I could see myself rocking– if my bank account permits that is.
Photos of Amanda Holley in action during her amazing opening performance for the Style Fashion Week show. Have you heard her vocals? Homegirl can SANG!
If you haven’t, drop what you’re doing right now and check out Amanda’s latest EP Feenin’ available now on iTunes and Spotify.
Gregorio Sanchez.
One thing that I admired about Gregorio’s collection was how playful yet classy his pieces were. Almost every look that made its way down the runway gave off a boho chic-esk vibe just perfect for Fall.
Gregorio Sanchez taking his final bow. Side note: Gregorio seems like such a great a person to be friends with. In my head, we have brunch every Sunday while he teaches me everything I need to know about patterns and color blocking.
Meriem Belkhayat.
Was it just me, or did anyone else feeling like they were about ready to book a trip to Dubai after watching Meriem Belkhayat’s presentation? Talk about gorgeous! From the Arabian runway music, to the gorgeous amazon goddesses strutting down the strip, this segment hands down was my favorite.
Was loving this dress to the left. *cough cough* Isn’t my birthday coming up? #imjustsaying
Peyman Umay.
I’ll be honest and admit that I had never heard of this next designer until the day of the show, but when I saw almost everyone in the audience begin to adjust their seats and pull out their phones, I knew I was in for a real treat.
Darling, pants were so last season…
