MikexAngel Private Listening Session

They were singing his praises all throughout social media; congratulating the young talent on his amazing vocal abilities and even deeming him to be the next “heir to the R&B throne.” “Who is this MikexAngel,” I asked myself. I became very intrigued by the young promising star and wanted to find out more about him. Could he truly be the next in line to claim the R&B crown? Well, we would soon find out. On May 21st, Platinum Sounds recording studio in New York housed an amazing private listening session for MikexAngel, the newest artist signed to Trey Songz’s new label ‘Song Book Records.’ The session began with opening words from Mike’s manager Mu, Trey Songz and Kevin Liles who all played an intricate role in developing Mike as an artist over that past two years. The crowd was vibing. Their bodies swaying from side-to-side as expressions of elation graced their faces. They were diggin’ the kid and so was I. Among the songs played were ‘Set It Off,” “Countin On It,” and, what seemed to be the crowd favorite, “Complicated.” The production quality was spot on with a lyrical presentation that was smooth, purposeful and sexy. In a recent interview with Billboard, MikexAngel had this to say about the debut of his long-awaited project:
This project is so special to me because NOTHiN2SOMETHiN is really a mirror of my life right now. I started singing in the church as a kid, mass choirs all around Virginia. One year ago, I was working at Starbucks and Amazon and now I just got off tour with Trey Songz! Trey and my manager Mu have been in my corner throughout this process and the support system I have around me is incredible. I’m blessed to have a platform now through 300 Ent to deliver MIKEXANGEL to the world!”
